WWE star Cody Rhodes has been away from WWE programming for quite some time now. He has now commented on the possibility of another match with Seth Rollins ahead of his WWE return in 2023.

Cody Rhodes talks about his rumors

Rhodes made his epic WWE return at WrestleMania 38 in April and was revealed as Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent. The former AEW EVP defeated Rollins at WrestleMania 38, as well as during their bout at WrestleMania Backlash in May.

Rhodes last wrestled at the June 5 Hell in a Cell premium live event, competing with a completely torn pectoral muscle against Rollins once again.

The American Nightmare was written off WWE TV the following night, when Rollins attacked him on WWE RAW. He underwent surgery to fix his torn pectoral muscle. During the December 26 special edition of WWE Raw, Rhodes indicated that he doesn’t plan to feud with Rollins when he eventually returns to the ring.

Unsure when a fourth bout will take place, Rhodes said:

‘Make no mistake about it. Seth and I are not chummy, we’re not best friends. But Seth Rollins is one of the top three wrestlers in the entire world.

‘Three matches, not just one but three matches was an honor. Again, we’re not best friends. We don’t exchange Christmas cards, but there’s a bond by battle there with Seth and myself.

‘I know he’s probably clamoring for a fourth match, (but) I don’t know if that’s on my radar.’

SmackDown star Karrion Kross recently teased a feud with Cody Rhodes, which you can read more about right here.
