In the ever-evolving world of professional wrestling, news of releases often sends shockwaves through the community. One such recent release from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been making headlines, and the individual in question has finally broken his silence.

Ace Steel, a name synonymous with AEW, found himself at the centre of attention when he was released from the company. This release came on the heels of a significant backstage incident at AEW’s All In event at Wembley Stadium on August 27th. While the details of the incident remain shrouded in mystery, it’s evident that it played a pivotal role in the decisions that followed.

Interestingly, this wasn’t Steel’s first exit from AEW. He had previously been let go in the aftermath of another backstage incident at AEW All Out. However, he was rehired ahead of CM Punk’s much-anticipated return on the debut episode of Collision in June.

Since his return, Steel had been working remotely as a producer for Collision, a decision made by Tony Khan, AEW’s president. This arrangement reportedly caused a delay in announcing Punk’s return, as Punk was not pleased with Steel’s remote working conditions.

Former AEW name Steel Speaks Out on Social Media

After days of speculation and rumours swirling around his release, Ace Steel took to his Instagram Story to share his thoughts.

Without directly addressing the incident, he shared a quote that read, “Mishandling people, then avoiding communication, is not protecting your peace; it’s avoiding accountability.” Steel’s response to this was a candid, “Ain’t that the f**kin truth!! LoL”.

He added this post to his ‘COLLISION’ highlights section on Instagram, hinting at its relevance to his recent departure.

What Lies Ahead for Ace Steel?

The future for Ace Steel remains uncertain. There had been whispers within the wrestling community about AEW’s plans to open a facility in Florida, specifically for Steel to train upcoming talents. However, given the recent turn of events, this seems unlikely.

The wrestling world will be keenly watching Steel’s next moves. Whether he chooses to remain in the shadows or step back into the limelight, his contribution to the industry remains undeniable.
