AEW has confirmed that a major title match will be taking place at New Japan Pro Wrestling Dominion on Sunday, June 12th 2022.

The company sent out a tweet with a press release confirming the AEW Interim World Championship Eliminator Series.

One of the matches set to take place as part of the upcoming move to crown an Interim All Elite Champion involves NJPW’s Dominion.

AEW vs NJPW

All Elite confirmed that Hiroshi Tanahashi will be taking on Hirooki Goto in an Eliminator Match for the Interim All Elite Wrestling Championship.

The winner of that match will then go on to the All Elite x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV event on Sunday, June 26th to face the winner of the Eliminator Series on AEW Dynamite.

It is expected that the company will be going with Jon Moxley vs Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Forbidden Door PPV; with fans believing that Moxley will go on to win the Interim title.

It’s not currently known how long CM Punk will be out after confirming he has to have surgery. Hopefully, we will be back sooner rather than later to challenge the Interim Champion, whoever that will be.
