AEW Rampage had a special ‘buy-in’ event ahead of the show this week on YouTube. Company President Tony Khan confirmed that All Elite would be holding the event prior to Rampage as WWE had decided to run an extra half hour against Rampage for SmackDown this week.

WWE opted to do this as SmackDown aired on FS1, meaning that they would be losing viewership and there was a potential that AEW could actually beat them in the ratings.

The Buy-In for Rampage has 531,000 views on YouTube as of writing, making it the most-watched AEW content of the week on YouTube.

The live viewership peaked at 98,000 viewers for the main event of the Buy-In; Bryan Danielson defeating Minoru Suzuki in a nearly 20-minute match.
