The injury status of an AEW star who is set to make his return to programming soon appears to have been clarified by a recent report.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, it appears as though Andrade will be making his return at some point in the near future.
“Fightful Select can confirm that Andrade was at the May 10 AEW Dynamite tapings. Originally, Andrade was set to appear in a segment similar to that of Miro and Thunder Rosa where he’d walk into Tony Khan’s office, teasing the impending announcement of AEW Collision. However, we’re told that he didn’t want to do that segment, but weren’t told why” the site revealed on its Patreon subscription service.
AEW Star Andrade Making Return Soon?
“He was at the May 17 episode of Dynamite and filmed a backstage segment for social media, and is expected to compete on the Collision brand as announced” Fightful added.
“There were rumors that Andrade got surgery in the fall to be ready for the debut of Collision, but we’ve confirmed that Andrade, nor the rest of the AEW roster knew about Collision or the potential of it at that point” the site concluded.
It remains to be seen whether or not Andrade will appear on the debut episode of Collision, but he could well be the opponent for CM Punk on night 1.
