Newly signed AEW star and former NXT Champion Andrade El Idolo recently spoke to Lucha Libre Online. The new charge of Vickie Guerrero discussed a number of topics during the interview, including dream matches that the former WWE Superstar wanted to have had in the company.
‘I would have liked to wrestle against Triple H in WWE” Andrade El Idolo said during the interview (translated by Luis Pulido).
“I would have loved to wrestle him in a one-on-one match, but it was not materialized” Andrade continued, lamenting that he could not get the match he desired. “Things did not go our way, but I would have loved wrestling against Triple H.”
Will Triple H wrestle again in WWE?
It’s highly unlikely that we would’ve ever seen Andrade get in the ring with ‘The Game,’ but it could’ve been an interesting bout none the less.
Triple H has not been an active competitor in WWE for quite some time, with his last televised match taking place in 2019 against Randy Orton for the Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia.
The Game’s final match (for now) took place at a house show in Japan, where he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to face Samoa Joe and Robert Roode.
Andrade El Idolo will be making his AEW debut next week at the Road Rager episode of AEW Dynamite against Matt Sydal. The former NXT Champion was confirmed as a signing for the company over the past few months and looks set to become one of the main event players on either Dynamite or Rampage (when it begins in August).
