WWE held their DX reunion on this week’s episode of WWE RAW to commemorate 25 years of the group, but Billy Gunn wasn’t on the show.
Gunn has of course had a massive resurgence alongside The Acclaimed as part of his ‘Daddy Ass’ persona and the ‘Scissor Me Daddy’ craze.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, apparently the company ‘threw around’ the idea of trying to get the former DX member back for the reunion.
“In addition, we’re told that WWE at least threw around the idea of trying to get Billy Gunn for tonight’s Raw DX celebration” the site claimed.
Billy Gunn WWE Return DX Reunion
The last time that Gunn appeared on WWE programming was as part of the WWE Hall of Fame segment where DX was inducted.
Gunn joked on that show that Vince McMahon ‘couldn’t fire him,’ to which Triple H replied with the now infamous ‘pissant company’ line about AEW.
With Mr Ass now a major part of All Elite’s most popular group, it’s unlikely that we’ll see him take part in WWE programming for some time.
