AEW star reportedly tried to convince others to rejoin WWE

Last updated

A former AEW star reportedly tried to get others within the All Elite Wrestling roster to leave the company and rejoin WWE.

According to a recent report on the Wrestling Observer message board from Ryan Frederick, Bobby Fish tried to convince Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to join him back in WWE.

“I posted it in the Bobby Fish thread but I know Fish was trying to get them to Cole and Kyle to ask for their releases to go back to WWE and they both told him no” Frederick claimed.

“It’s possible Cole may have clued Tony in. If he did, I doubt he was the only one. I’m sure Swerve was one of them who did so” he concluded.

AEW stars leaving for WWE?

Whilst we can’t confirm if this is true at this time, it is certainly interesting that Fish would show up in IMPACT Wrestling this weekend.

The prevailing theory is that Fish tried to get Undisputed Era back to WWE but it fell through. Supposedly (but this isn’t confirmed), WWE were not interested in Fish without Cole and O’Reilly, so they turned him down.

That’s a major rumor, and it’s likely we won’t get confirmation on that for quite some time, but it looks like Cole and O’Reilly are staying put for the time being.
