Cash Wheeler, a prominent figure in the wrestling world, recently made headlines not for his in-ring prowess but for an off-ring incident. The AEW star, whose real name is Daniel Wheeler, voluntarily turned himself in on August 18th following a “road rage type incident”.

The allegations against him are quite serious; he’s accused of flashing a handgun at an individual during this altercation.

This has led to him being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, a third-degree felony in Florida.

The Implications for AEW All In

The wrestling community and fans alike have been buzzing with one primary concern: Will this arrest impact Wheeler’s scheduled appearance at AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium on August 27th?

Wheeler was slated to team up with Dax Harwood to defend their AEW World Tag Team Championship against the Young Bucks.

Legal Proceedings and Travel Restrictions

The incident that led to Wheeler’s arrest isn’t recent. A warrant for his arrest had been issued on July 28th. Interestingly, Wheeler had already filed a not-guilty plea by August 3rd, indicating that the incident had taken place some weeks before.

Following his arrest, his bond was set at $2500. Additionally, he was instructed to surrender any weapons he owns within 12 hours of his release and was prohibited from contacting the victim, who is not an acquaintance of his.

In terms of travel implications, PWInsider has reported that Wheeler wasn’t asked to hand over his passport. Furthermore, no international travel restrictions were imposed on him.

This is crucial information for fans and the wrestling community, as it means that, legally speaking, there’s currently no barrier preventing Wheeler from travelling to London for the AEW All In event.

AEW’s Stance on the Matter

AEW, as an organisation, has been relatively silent on the matter. As of the time of writing, they haven’t announced any changes to the scheduled match.

This means that, for now, the match featuring Wheeler is still on the cards. However, it’s essential to note that situations like these are fluid, and decisions can change based on new developments.
