AEW star and former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho took a horrific bump onto his neck during the opening minutes of his AEW Revolution match.

Jericho vs Eddie Kingston was the opening match of the PPV itself, and it began with Kingston hitting a massive back suplex that saw Y2J land right on his neck.

The former AEW Champion rolled out of the ring and appeared to be ok, but it was a heart in mouth moment for fans in attendance who reacted huge to Chris Jericho getting dropped onto his head and neck.

Eddie Kingston would go on to win the match via submission, and it was an epic start to the night from Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.

Kingston put his hand out to Jericho following the bell as a sign of respect and the Inner Circle leader declined. It doesn’t appear as though this feud is over, but if it continues anything like the first match? We’re in for a treat.

Interestingly, Proud & Powerful did not factor into the match at all, despite the fact that they have been at the centre of the feud. It’s likely that they will be involved more in a rematch between the two men in some form down the line.
