CM Punk currently set to wrestle at AEW Collision

Last updated

Although CM Punk was advertised to appear to AEW Collision by Tony Khan on Saturday, June 17th, it wasn’t confirmed if he would be wrestling.

After conversations with a number of different sources, it appears as though Punk has been planned for a match on the show in the past few weeks at least. From our last check, the plans appeared to still be in place as of a week or so ago, but it’s worth bearing in mind that these can always change.

As to who Punk will be wrestling against? We have not been able to confirm that. There have been rumours that Punk could’ve been facing Samoa Joe, or even recently there have been rumours of Punk being a fan of Jay White, but again we can’t substantiate that at this time.

Tony Khan is set to make a major announcement on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite regarding the main event of Collision, and again although it has not been confirmed, we are fairly confident that this will involve CM Punk in some manner.

Again, it’s really worth noting that this situation has been fluid for some time and the issues between Punk and All Elite have been well documented, so things can change right up until the show goes live on that Saturday.

Still, seeing Punk back in an All Elite ring will be a massive moment.
