Hangman Page: The Unplanned Promo
Hangman Page, a well-known figure in the wrestling world, had his issues with CM Punk highlighted once again. Page was initially scheduled to pre-tape a promotional segment for the upcoming Dynamite episode in Greensboro.
However, upon his arrival, he was informed that he wouldn’t be allowed to record at the Collision venue and would need to find an alternative location.
The drama didn’t end there. After the Collision event concluded, CM Punk, in an unexpected move, delivered a promo targeting Page.
This wasn’t a scripted part of any storyline. Instead, it seemed to be a spontaneous decision by Punk, further emphasizing the tension between the two. Their disagreements can be traced back to a previous incident where Page mentioned backstage issues involving Punk during a promo for their Double Or Nothing match, all without Punk’s prior knowledge or consent.

Ryan Nemeth: The Unexpected AEW Departure
Ryan Nemeth’s involvement added another layer to the unfolding backstage saga. Nemeth, who has been a regular feature on AEW’s Dark shows and is also known as Dolph Ziggler’s real-life sibling, experienced a surprising turn of events.
Upon arriving for the Collision taping, he was informed by a coach that his presence wasn’t required. Even more startling, arrangements were already in place for his immediate return journey.
The root of this sudden decision? A tweet from Nemeth labelled CM Punk as the “softest man alive” following Punk’s promo on Collision’s debut episode, according to a new report from Fightful Select. This promo saw Punk taking jabs at the Young Bucks, another prominent wrestling duo. It’s worth noting that Nemeth has been a consistent presence on the Bucks’ YouTube series, Being The Elite.
The tension between Punk and Nemeth reached a point where they had a ‘confrontation’. Thankfully, this didn’t escalate into a physical altercation. Nemeth’s last known AEW-affiliated match was with ROH, where he and Peter Avalon faced off against the Iron Savages.
