AEW star CM Punk has been in the news a lot recently, with reports indicating that he is looking to make his return to All Elite programming.

According to a new report from Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the apparent meeting between Punk and Chris Jericho that was rumored to be happening has not yet occured.

“Regarding the meeting scheduled to try and smooth out issues with Tony Khan, C.M. Punk, FTR and Chris Jericho, there’s nothing new on that and we were told it had not taken place as of press time” Meltzer began in the Observer.

“As of the weekend there was no resolution to the situation and there are many situations and things involved. Since I’ve been asked about this a lot, Punk has not apologized or attempted to make any direct amends to the Young Bucks, although those close to him said that’s because he’s been told not to have any contact with them and without any contact he couldn’t” Meltzer added.

As we previously noted, we were told by one of our sources that The Elite were ‘on board’ for a feud with Punk upon his return.

Whether this rumor turned out to be spurious remains to be seen, but it looks like he won’t be working with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega anytime soon.
