Showing this week’s AEW Collision show, CM Punk couldn’t resist commenting on a sign held up by a fan which read ‘Hangman Country’.

Punk took this opportunity to critique Page, pointing out that Page wasn’t exactly a top merchandise seller, implying he wasn’t ‘selling figures’.

This comment, seemingly innocuous at first, sparked a series of events that would lead to much discussion among fans and insiders alike.

The Aftermath: Hangman Page’s Absence

Interestingly, Hangman Page was scheduled to be present in Greensboro for the AEW Collision show. However, in a surprising turn of events, he was asked to leave the venue and instead, film a planned interview at a different location.

This raised many eyebrows, especially considering that other wrestlers like Christopher Daniels and Ryan Nemeth were also asked to leave the Collision event.

It remains unclear whether the same reasons applied to Page and Matt Hardy’s departure from the venue.
