CM Punk is being discussed for a major match at the Forbidden Door PPV.
The Straight Star is finally set to make his return at the debut episode of Collision on June 17. He will be teaming up with FTR to face Bullet Club Gold and Samoa Joe in a six men tag match.
This means that Punk will be right on time for the Forbidden Door PPV set for June 25. If latest reports are to be believed, then we might see the closure of a long standing feud of the former AEW champion at the show.

CM Punk at Forbidden Door
Fightful Select recently provided some updates on plans for Forbidden Door 2 from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto Canada. They noted that the working plan is for KENTA to wrestle at the show:
“Fightful Select learned this week that the working plan was for KENTA to work the show. KENTA actually worked AEW Dynamite back in April 2021, teaming with Kenny Omega to face Jon Moxley and Lance Archer.”
The site claimed that the deal has not been finalized for the NJPW star to work the event. Both companies, however, are operating with the assumption that he will be working the PPV. The name discussed as KENTA’s potential opponent brings the situation to a whole new level:
“We’ve learned that CM Punk has been discussed as KENTA’s opponent, which could help bring closure to an over-decade back and forth between the two.”
KENTA is credited with the creation of the GTS move that Punk made famous in US during his WWE run. These two stars have exchanged words over it on many occasions. Forbidden Door could provide them the opportunity to settle this debate once and for all.
