FTR is back in AEW and reports say they’re here to stay.

There has been a lot of speculation about the future of FTR in AEW recently. Reports have ranged from their contracts being short-term to the former tag champs asking for their release.

Dax Harwood has only been adding fuel to the fire with his podcast. He has openly been talking about many things within the promotion that have made him unhappy. In January, Harwood also claimed that their deals were up in April:

‘That’s my news; we’re going to be away for a little while. I’m not sure exactly how long we’ll be away. It may be all the way up until the end of our contract. I don’t know yet; contract is up in April.”

Is FTR leaving AEW?

Things changed however when FTR made their surprise return at the Revolution PPV last night. The former WWE stars confronted The Gunn Club, making their intention of going after the tag titles very clear. PWinsider provided an update on their status after this return and noted that the tag team is locked to long term contract:

“The belief was that FTR are locked into long-term deals with AEW and their disappearance and tease of going elsewhere was just a storyline cover.”
