Jon Moxley on His Daughter Being a Second Generation Wrestler

Last updated

AEW star and former Champion Jon Moxley recently ‘took over’ his wife Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast. Paquette revealed earlier this week that she has now given birth to their first child and thus will be taking time off for maternity leave.

During this week’s episode of the show, Jon Moxley discussed if his daughter ever wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a second generation pro wrestler.

‘If she was really passionate about it, then yeah, go for it.” Moxley began on the show. “If not, if it were just a playing around thing, then go play around with it. I would assess where her mindset was and [I would say], ’˜Get in there and, uh, take a bump. See how that feels.’”

“Whatever she wants to do, I will support it” Moxley continued. “If she ever wanted to get into wrestling, in theory, I would rather guide it and make sure it was done correctly and safely and right, and for all of the right reasons.’

Of course, Moxley’s newborn is just a few days old, so it’s odd considering her anywhere near a wrestling ring right now.

Jon Moxley himself has taken some time off of AEW programming to be at home with Renee and their new child. Moxley was previously in a storyline with Eddie Kingston and The Young Bucks, however Kingston is now teaming with Death Triangle for the foreseeable future.

It is not confirmed who will be guest hosting Oral Sessions for the next few weeks, although it is likely that some AEW personalities will be taking on the role.
