All Elite Wrestling star Jon Moxley recently revealed that there were some AEW staff trying to get him to leave NJPW initially.

Speaking on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast, Moxley revealed that he was asked to quit the promotion when he first signed with All Elite.

‘There were plenty of people that told me to stop working for New Japan. They did not understand it, they were like ’˜you should stop going there’” Moxley began.

“I knew that I was like the last linchpin, the last domino. If I fell then there would be no communication ever” the former WWE Superstar would continue.

“There were so many people on both sides that were agreeing with me. It just didn’t open the communication.

“I think like when that Harold guy got fired from New Japan I think that kind of opened it up a little bit” Jon Moxley concluded.

The former AEW Champion will be challenging for the Interim title this Sunday at the Forbidden Door PPV event against Hiroshi Tanahashi.
