Maxwell Jacob Friedman/MJF has been missing from All Elite Wrestling programming for quite some time, but what is going on?
According to a new report from Fightful Select, there is “no one” backstage who has heard from the AEW star since he left.
“Fightful has followed up numerous times about where MJF has been since his post-Double or Nothing promo on AEW Dynamite.
“We’ve not heard from a single AEW talent or staffer that has admitted to hearing from him since then, and even plenty of people who have worked with him or are close to him have said that he’s not communicated with them whatsoever” the site revealed.

“Everyone that we’ve spoken to says that they’ve not overheard Tony Khan speak about MJF whatsoever since the June 1 promo” Fightful continued.
“So far we haven’t heard of anyone in wrestling that has said that they’ve even spoken to MJF since he left, either.
“For those asking, I’ve never heard of someone going this unreachable in regards to wrestling for this period of time (from June, through being spotted at the filming)” the site concluded.
It’s a fascinating situation, as it appears to be a very long and elaborate work by the company to make it look like Maxwell wants to leave.
We will hopefully find out the full situation with regards to Friedman when he does finally make his return to All Elite programming.
