AEW Women’s Champion Dr Britt Baker D.M.D appeared at the Paige VanZant Bare Knuckle Boxing fight this past weekend in Tampa, Florida.
This was VanZant’s second fight with BKFC, and she lost to Rachael Ostovich after 5 rounds via unanimous decision to take her bare-knuckle career to 0-2.
Baker noted on Twitter that she was backstage, seeing Paige VanZant before her fight; ‘with @paigevanzant ’¦And oh yeah, I retained the title on Wednesday night at #aewdynamite with a broken wrist. Not taking any time off either. #AndStill.’

The aforementioned broken wrist reportedly occurred during Dr Baker’s match against Nyla Rose on AEW Dynamite. F4Wonline.com first reported this online following the show.
Dr Britt Baker won the match this past Wednesday after putting Nyla Rose in the Lockjaw submission. It’s not confirmed if the pro wrestler/dentist will be out of action for long, if at all while she heals from the injury.
Paige VanZant was previously an MMA fighter with the UFC before making a move to bare-knuckle boxing. With VanZant having a huge fanbase, there’s a potential that she could make a move to pro wrestling at some point, with AEW being a strong candidate for her signature down the line.
VanZant previously said that she has been in talks with WWE in the past, and with the likes of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler having already transitioned from MMA to pro wrestling, there’s a precedent for Paige VanZant to do the same.
