Paige VanZant is a former American professional mixed martial artist and professional wrestler now signed to AEW.

She began her career in 2012 and since then has competed in the likes of the UFC, BKFC and Invicta FC.

VanZant has had a number of successful fights in the UFC, including a submission victory over Rachael Ostovich.

VanZant’s professional career began in 2012 when she was just 18 years old. She signed with the UFC in 2013 and made her promotional debut against Kailin Curran at UFC Fight Night 57. VanZant would go on to win her next two fights in the UFC, including a submission victory over Alex Chambers.

After a loss to Amanda Ribas in the UFC, VanZant left the company and signed with Bare Knuckle FC in 2020. She made her promotional debut on February 5, 2021, against Britain Hart in the main event of BKFC: Knucklemania in Tampa, Florida. VanZant would lose the fight via unanimous decision.

The former UFC fighter would then get another bare knuckle fight against Rachael Ostovich, whom she defeated in MMA competition previously. The fight took place on July 23, 2021 and VanZant would lose via unanimous decision.

VanZant is currently signed to AEW and is expected to make her in-ring debut for the promotion at some point in 2022.

The former UFC fighter has stated that she may well get back into MMA at some point in the future, despite signing for the pro wrestling company.

During an interview with ESPN, VanZant revealed: ‘I do want to do MMA still and I do see my future in MMA.

“I’m 27 years old. I’ve just been fortunate enough that my career got kick-started at a very young age. I’m not closing any doors.”
