Brother of Dolph Ziggler and AEW star Ryan Nemeth recently appeared on the Insight With Chris Van Vliet podcast. The ‘Hollywood Hunk’ discussed a number of topics during the podcast, including how he got his start in All Elite Wrestling.
Ryan Nemeth appeared on a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, taking on Adam ‘Hangman’ Page in a losing effort.
Nemeth revealed that he actually wasn’t going to AEW to try and get booked initially. “I went to AEW to see Amanda Huber, Brodie Lee’s wife and her kids. Basically because I knew there’s gonna be a birthday celebration for a Brodie Jr. So I thought, I’ll show up and kind of surprise her, say happy birthday to the boy.”
Ryan Nemeth then revealed that he actually used to help out the Hubers, supposedly when Brodie Lee worked as Luke Harper in NXT. “I used to babysit him (Brodie Jr) in Tampa. So a huge bummer his passing, of course, and I wanted to just kind of just say hi to her.”

“As the old wrestling rule goes, if you’re going to be around a wrestling show always have your gear” Ryan Nemeth continued. “So of course I secretly have a little bag of gear, of wrestling boots and shorts. It was nice to see her (Amanda Huber), a big surprise, good to catch up and then they (AEW) said ‘hey since you’re here, do you want to wrestle a little bit?'”
Ryan Nemeth finished by saying that it wasn’t awkward at all and the Huber family were really excited for him. “She (Amanda) was happy about that too. She was like, super pumped. And I was too, and all my buddies they’re very excited about it, and instantly to be on TV wrestling one of the top guys there? It was pretty incredible.”
