Saraya gives her thoughts on AEW’s CM Punk problem

Last updated

Saraya wants people in AEW to find common ground over the CM Punk situation.

The Straight Edge star has been off AEW TV since the Brawl Out incident last year. Many thought that Punk was done with the company after his altercation with The Elite. Recent reports, however, indicate that this isn’t the case.

There have been rumblings about the former World Champion returning to the company later this year. Though the issues between the two parties have not been solved and it’s said that AEW will be working with a split roster to avoid conflict.

Saraya wants to find common ground

Saraya who has been co-workers with CM Punk in both WWE and AEW recently spoke up about the issue. In an interview with BBC (H/t Wrestlinginc), the former champion mentioned that she has never had any conflict with Punk whatsoever:

‘[Punk has] always been an absolute sweetheart to me. [We’ve] never had any conflict whatsoever. He’s been very helpful, given a lot of advice over the years.’

Giving her thoughts on the conflict between the AEW stars, Saraya said that you have to find a common ground because it’s best for business:

‘I want whatever’s best for business. If people don’t like each other, you have to find that common ground in a professional setting, you know? ’¦ There’s been people I don’t like over the years, but I’ve never let my personal feelings get in the way of business at the end of the day.’
