An All Elite Wrestling star has teased that he may have left the company in the last couple of weeks with a telling tweet before AEW Dynamite this week.
Shawn Spears, formerly Tye Dillinger in WWE, posted a “Goodbye” GIF on Twitter which he would then later delete.
Not long after he did this, fellow AEW star Sammy Guevara tweeted, “You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful b*tch.”
Although Guevara’s tweet may actually have no relevance to the situation, it would certainly make sense for him to be referencing Spears.
Shawn Spears was initially hired by All Elite around the Double or Nothing 2019 event, where he would then feud with Cody Rhodes down the line.
Has Shawn Spears left AEW?
It has been quite some time since we’ve actually seen Spears on All Elite programming, with his last televised match being against Wardlow on the May 25th episode of Dynamite.
There is no definitive confirmation that Spears has in fact left the company, but with him having not been on television in so long it might be possible.
It’s also worth noting that Spears and his wife Cassie Lee/Peyton Royce is pregnant, so he may well just be taking time off to spend with her before the birth of their baby.
