The Reason Inner Circle Member Didn’t Appear on AEW Dynamite

Last updated

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the continuation of The Inner Circle and Pinnacle feud. After losing last week’s Blood & Guts match, Chris Jericho said that he and The Inner Circle faction wanted to face The Pinnacle at the Double or Nothing event on May 30.

MJF and The Pinnacle would only agree to the match if Jericho’s faction agreed to the following stipulation; if they lose, they disband forever.

Jericho did not agree to the stipulation on television, so the match isn’t current official. The Stadium Stampede match will however be taking place on the Double or Nothing 2021 PPV card.

One notable absence from the group was Santana. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Santana is currently ‘sick’ and AEW were taking a precaution by not having him on the program due to the ongoing pandemic.

At this time we do not have any further information regarding the illness; although it is not believed to be serious and this is just AEW taking extra precautions. The Inner Circle is still believed to be appearing in full at Double or Nothing.
