Tony Khan comments on CM Punk and Daniel Bryan rumors

AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke to Joseph Staszewsk of the New York Post. Khan answered a number of questions during the interview, including those related to the rumors of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson signing with the company.

“I have no comment on those, but those are good questions but I can’t comment on those,” Tony Khan replied when asked about the two free agents.

“I can’t comment on those two guys, but I think there are certainly a lot of exciting rumors right now” Khan added, specifically not denying that Punk and Danielson may be signing.

The rumors of Daniel Bryan signing with AEW first came from Cassidy Haynes of CM Punk was rumored to be dealing with an unnamed promotion by Fightful, however it was later revealed that AEW was the likely destination for the straight edge star.

It’s interesting that Tony Khan has not outright denied the rumors of Punk and Danielson signing with the promotion. Khan in the past has gone out of his way to refute untrue reports and rumors, but he hasn’t on this occasion.
