AEW President Tony Khan reportedly nixed an idea that was pitched by Chris Jericho with regards to the Inner Circle faction.
Dave Meltzer reported as such on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, saying that Jericho wanted to “break up” the faction but Tony Khan was completely against it.
‘Jericho had wanted to split up The Inner Circle at one point not all that long ago and Tony Khan was like, ’˜No, no, you don’t have to like, do a bunch of angles together, but we’ll keep the affiliation'” Meltzer revealed.
It is not confirmed if AEW will be looking at splitting up the group at any point in the near future, but they have certainly been hinting at issues between Jericho and the other members of the stable.
