Cody Rhodes Reflects On Possible ‘WWE-AEW War’

WWE star Cody Rhodes recently made it clear that there is no ’˜real war’ going on between WWE and AEW. AEW President While Tony Khan have caught the attention with recent comments regarding a ‘real war’ between WWE and AEW.

Cody Rhodes opens up on the matter

Appearing on Hot 97 in a chat with Peter Rosenberg, Cody Rhodes discussed a myriad of topics including his ’˜excursion’ away from WWE to found what would eventually become rival wrestling promotion, AEW.

Sharing his perspective from the locker room, Rhodes:

‘Again, there’s no war. Especially amongst locker rooms, when you’re putting your boots on girls and boys, we’re bonded. We’re brothers and sisters. There’s no war.’

While host Peter Rosenberg went on to note that he feels that detail is ‘a real point that is missed by fans,’ Cody continued to elaborate had nothing but positive things to say about his former colleagues.

Citing a more mentor style relationship with some of the wrestlers in AEW, Cody noted that Ricky Starks and Wardlow stuck out as people he was actually friends with.

Cody Rhodes is set to get a WWE Universal Championship shot at WrestleMania 39 against Roman Reigns or Sami Zayn.
