Chris Jericho has been part of the wrestling world for over 30 years. He has wrestled for almost all major promotions that have been active during this time. This includes All Elite Wrestling where he is currently leading the Jericho Appreciation society.
The former AEW champion recently had an interview with Bleacher Report. When asked if he is planning to retire anytime soon, the AEW talent confirmed that it’s not the case:
‘No, I mean, it’s been such a great run with AEW and it’s really reinvigorated my love for the business. I still think I’m doing some of the best work of my career. I really do.’
Chris Jericho later commented on the importance of knowing when to retire. He explained that he might think about hanging the boots if he didn’t feel that he was doing the best work of his career:
‘If I didn’t feel [I’m doing my best work] I might think about ’˜it’s time to walk away.’ You don’t want to be an embarrassment to yourself or a shell of yourself.’
Despite his 51 years of age, Chris Jericho is still at the top of the wrestling business. He competed in a world title match just last week when he faced off against Jon Moxley on Dynamite.
