Malakai Black has been the center of many rumors in the past few months. There have been stories of the former WWE star dealing with some serious back issues. Reports suggest that he has been granted a release from AEW and there is no clarity on whether he will ever return to wrestling.
Black competed at Prestige Wrestling’s Perseverance event this Saturday night in Pomona, CA. He addressed the fans after the match and said that he will answer the majority of the question in due time:
‘I understand that all you have questions’¦ what I am doing, where I am going. In due time, I will answer the majority of these questions. However, for the last 22 years of my life, I have never not once taken a step back and re-calibrated my life. I took a chance to look back at the stuff I’ve done in-ring but also the stuff outside of the ring.’
Malakai Black then asked the fans to allow him some time to recalibrate himself. He promised that this is not a goodbye:
‘You’ve all been fantastic. Please allow me a few weeks, maybe a few months, to just re-calibrate myself. I promise you, this is not goodbye, this is just we’ll see each other soon.’
