James Cipperly, better known by his ring name Orange Cassidy, has become a fan-favourite wrestler in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since his debut in 2019. Known for his “whatever” attitude and unique in-ring style, Orange Cassidy has an aura that’s hard to ignore’‹’‹’‹’‹.

Part of his distinctive character is his entrance theme song, which has undergone an interesting evolution in recent years.

Up until March 2021, Cassidy walked his way to the ring to The Pixies’ song “Where is My Mind?” This particular song became synonymous with his laid-back, nonchalant character that has been well-received by fans.

The Introduction of “Jane”

The new theme song was revealed to be “Jane” by rock band Jefferson Starship. AEW President Tony Khan noted that he did inquire with Jefferson Starship about getting the license to use the song. Although AEW was hopeful to debut the song at the Forbidden Door event in June 2021, they only managed to secure “about 95 percent” of the licensing in time.

The song was not used for Cassidy’s entrance at this event’‹’‹. However, just a few days later, on June 29, Cassidy officially debuted “Jane” as his entrance theme on an episode of Dynamite.

It was a big moment for fans who have followed Cassidy’s career, from his days as Fire Ant in Chikara to his current role in AEW’‹’‹.

Conclusion: The Impact of the Orange Cassidy Theme Song

The theme song of a wrestler is an integral part of their character and persona. It sets the tone for their entrance and can often reflect their personality or in-ring style.
