Current AEW TBS champion Jade Cargill has impressed a lot of people with her performance in a very short amount of time. It appears that the list of people who admire her skills include some WWE officials as well.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast talked about the AEW star recently. He explained that people in WWE have taken a note of her on-screen performance:
‘I know for a fact that people in WWE are interested in her now that they’ve gotten to see what she can do on TV’
This is a great example of how fortunes can change in the wrestling business very quickly. Jade Cargill previously attended a WWE tryout in 2019 but she wasn’t offered a contract back then.
Cargill made her debut for AEW in November 2020. She has only wrestled a total of 28 matches so far. The female star won the TBS championship by defeating Ruby Soho in the final of the TBS title tournament earlier this year.
If the current champion signed a standard three-year contract with AEW then she should have a lot of time left in her deal. We will have to see if WWE gets a chance to make a play for her when the expiry of the contract comes closer.
