Ryan Garcia defeated Luke Campbell by TKO last night. The fight went into the seventh round and saw Garcia fight back from being knocked down early in the second round.
The fight showed that Garcia has a lot of heart inside the ring, and has catapulted him to the top of the Lightweight division, setting up some potentially massive fights for the rest of 2021. Garcia would state after the fight to Fight Hub TV that he wants Gervonta Davis, whilst the likes of Devin Haney are also on the table.

“It just shows you man, you’re not what people say you are, you’re who you choose to be” Garcia began. “That’s the message that I wanted to send out. They thought that I was a soft, pretty boy that wouldn’t amount to anything, but I’m giving everything.”
“Nothing is given to you, I trained for twelve rounds so I was ready. I’m 22 years old and I knocked out Luke Campbell, that tells you something, I’m special, I got up from the canvas [after getting dropped in round 2]. How many times did Muhammad Ali get dropped? Many times, but you get back up.”
“I want ‘Tank’ man, I’m a man of my word, that’s who I want” Garcia would continue. “I showed what I can do when I get dropped. I know that Tank is an explosive puncher, I mean you see he had problems with Leo Santa Cruz? If he can give him problems? Then I can give him problems too and come out victorious.”
