IMPACT Wrestling Women’s Champion Deonna Purrazzo recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio. The Virtuosa discussed a number of topics during the show, including how she is able to approach promos in IMPACT.
“I think that there is a lot of freedom” Deonna Purrazzo began on the show. “But I do think that when we’re given scripts to do the live promo or to do the take backstage? There’s confinements of like ‘here’s what we’d like you to say, but make it your own.'”
“And I think what benefits me? The creative team that we have really understand who the Virtuosa is” Deonna Purrazzo would continue. “They understand some of the verbiage I would use. So, for me I can draw a lot more inspiration from what they’ve given me, and then make it my own. So there is some freedom.”

Purrazzo would then discuss how personalities backstage help her with her work. “But when I do need someone, obviously like Gail Kim is there, so I can always go to Gail. Madison Rayne is one of my best friends, so I know that without a doubt she’s the person I’m gonna go to for creative criticism; someone to tell me whether something works or if she doesn’t think it works or to give it a try. Her and Josh Matthews are two people that I trust without a doubt to give me the truth.”
“But there’s so many people backstage at IMPACT that have been doing this so much longer than I have” Deonna Purrazzo continued. “Tommy [Dreamer] is one of those people, Gail Kim is one of those people. Scott D’Amore is one of those people that if I have a problem or I need advice? I can trust that they’ll give me an honest opinion.”
