IMPACT Wrestling EVP Don Callis recently appeared on the Talk’n Shop podcast. The ‘Invisible Hand’ discussed a number of topics with Gallows & Anderson, including their 6-man main event match at the Hard To Kill PPV earlier this year.

The Good Brothers teamed with Kenny Omega to take on Chris Sabin, IMPACT Champion Rich Swann and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose. Originally Alex Shelley was meant to be in the match but could not perform due to COVID-19 travel restrictions; thus why Moose was inserted into the match even though he was feuding with Rich Swann.

Don Callis on Moose

“Moose is the best athlete in pro wrestling” Don Callis stated on Talk’n Shop. “He does stuff that guy’s Ricochet’s size do. But Moose is 6’6 and 260, so then when he does it you’re like ‘woah.'”

Don Callis also talked about how he asked Moose to scale back on his athletic and high-flying arsenal. The IMPACT EVP made it clear that he wanted the moves to be used less on television, so that they meant more when performed in bigger matches.

“[The problem was] he was doing it every match! He was highlighted so well in that six man, but he was doing it every match. We finally got him to stop doing it in every match. So now when he hits the Spanish Fly on Kenny [Omega] it was like ‘holy sh*t!’ I got him right after and I said ‘dude, that’s why you don’t do it every night.'”
