IMPACT Wrestling star Matt Cardona recently appeared on Chris Van Vliet’s Insights podcast. The former Zack Ryder discussed a number of topics during his time on the show, including why he decided to sign with the AXS TV brand.
“It’s pretty wild that it’s been around for almost 20 years” Matt Cardona began on the podcast, discussing IMPACT/TNA. “It’s pretty nuts, and all the things that they have done and all the guys they have found? I just think IMPACT right now is a great fit for me.”

“I feel like IMPACT had highs and lows that are well documented and that also goes for myself; and I feel like right now we’re both like on the rise, on the up and up” Cardona continued. “I think we’re a perfect fit. And I also think I’m gonna get the most opportunity in IMPACT right now.”
Matt Cardona finished by discussing the talents he likes the look of in IMPACT. “Ace Austin night one, we had a little match, and I could just tell right away like this kid’s got ‘it.’ He’s just a pro and I think in five years he’s gonna be a name that everybody’s talking about. There’s so many hungry guys on that roster, so many guys I’ve never really wrestled, like I’ve never wrestled Moose, Eddie Edwards or Rich Swann. There’s Gallows & Anderson and Eric Young, who I have wrestled, but never really given the time or the spotlight.”
