Bellator Tease Big Announcements Coming February 9th

Last updated

Bellator MMA has confirmed that there will be ‘big announcements’ coming on Tuesday, February 9th. The company will be holding a special press conference this week which will be available to view on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

One of the big announcements will likely be the return of the promotion’s live events. The last Bellator event took place back in December 2020. That event was Bellator 254 on December 10th. This show was headlined by Juliana Velasquez winning the flyweight title with a win over Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.

Big Announcements

According to MMAFighting, the promotion were hoping to hold events as of this month. These plans were pushed back for unknown reasons; but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic very likely played a massive part. It was also rumoured that the promotion will host a Kick-off event on April 9th, with a source within the company revealing the promotion’s plans.

Anthony Johnson, Yoel Romero, and Rustam Khabilov were also signed by the company back in 2020. This live stream on Tuesday could also give fans an indication as to when the former UFC fighters may debut for Bellator.
