Singing star Demi Lovato recently appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast. The former Disney star discussed a number of topics during the interview, including her training in BJJ and how it has changed her life.
“I’ve tapped out a few people in my time,” Demi Lovato revealed to Rogan. “What’s really wild is when you surpass yourself. I never thought that I’d get a blue belt [the second of eight belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu]. I just never thought that I’d get a belt in anything. I’m a singer.”Â
“Hard work pays off” Lovato noted. “It’s just really cool when you get to prove yourself wrong.”
Demi Lovato on Grappling
Demi Lovato also recently spoke to People magazine regarding the grappling arts.
‘I would say that if you struggle with depression, anxiety, or any other type of stressors in your life; a really great way to get rid of those is through physical exercise and fitness.’ Demi told People magazine.
