WWE NXT ‘enforcer’ Samoa Joe recently appeared on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast. The former NXT Champion discussed a number of topics on the show, including potential matchups that he wants with talents on the brand.
‘Absolutely’¦ We’ll just say yes, we’ll leave it at that” Samoa Joe began, discussing whether he wants to return to the ring as part of the NXT brand.Â
‘Karrion Kross, Pete Dunne are definitely top of that list” Joe added. “A guy like WALTER, people have been asking for it, I’m not blind it’s with good reason. He’s a powerhouse, and people want to see some furniture moved.”Â
“You know, and then it’s not just one or two guys. Guys like Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle Riley, I mean there’s several very very accomplished athletes in NXT” Joe noted, bringing up members of the former Undisputed Era. “Bronson Reed, I know he’s always running his mouth, He wants to get some.’
As of now, Samoa Joe is not cleared to wrestle in WWE. That is at least what is known publicly, as Joe was suffering from what was believed to be concussion-like issues before he stopped performing for WWE on the main roster.
If Samoa Joe is able to get cleared, the potential matches in NXT look massively intriguing, especially Joe vs Pete Dunne, or Joe vs Adam Cole. A potential rematch between Joe and Finn Balor could also be on the cards.
