WWE NXT Superstar Tegan Nox has been out of action for quite some time, having suffered a torn ACL. This isn’t the first time that the Welsh born Superstar has had issues with her knee, and she is still out of action ‘indefinitely.’
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump this week, Tegan Nox would discuss her recovery and plans for a run at Championship gold when she does finally return to the black and gold brand on Tuesday nights.
Although Nox would say that “friends don’t end well” for her, alluding to her feud with former friend Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox confirmed that she would like to have a run at her other foe Candice LeRae and the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships.
‘See, that’s the thing: friends don’t end well for me. They always attack me” Nox said on The Bump. “So, trying to find a partner is [shakes her head], oof. I don’t know. I’d like to have an Io [Shirai]. I think that could be quite interesting. Any gold is good for me.’
NXT Women’s Championship Goals
Tegan Nox also discussed the NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez. ‘She’s incredible. The strength in her is ridiculous,’ Nox stated. ‘She was around the Performance Center when I came in, and just seeing her evolve from then to now as this immovable object, she’s indestructible.”
“It’s mind-blowing to see” Nox added. “I’ll have a good go of beating her, but I’m also scared ’cause that powerbomb really, really hurts.’
It’s worth noting that Tegan Nox actually beat Gonzalez on NXT programming back in April 2020, so if Nox is able to return at some point there is a built in story there.
