NXT Reportedly Not Changing Philosophy

NXT has gone major changes over the past year. It was given a colorful look with the brand being renamed as NXT 2.0 with the focus on the younger talents when Vince McMahon took over. However, on the one year anniversary the brand saw another change as the name was changed once again into NXT with the gold and black logo.

The brand will not change its philosophy

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the 2.0 branding is now officially over, but the philosophy for the new version of the brand will remain similar. This includes using younger talent.

“No more 2.0, it’s just NXT again. They’re going back to the old colors. But the same philosophy in the sense of mostly younger guys coming in, and younger women coming in and everything.’

The brand is set to host its next Premium Live Event, Halloween Havoc, on Saturday, October 22nd.

At the event, Bron Breakker will supposedly defend his NXT Championship against both Ilja Dragunov and JD McDonagh. Carmelo Hayes, Wes Lee, and two other superstars will compete for the vacant North American Championship.
