IMPACT recently teased the debut (or re-debut) of someone ‘phenomenal‘ on AXS TV. This was predominately headed up by Karl Anderson, who was previously part of the Bullet Club group alongside former TNA/IMPACT, and now WWE Superstar, AJ Styles.
The tease would lead to the former Hornswoggle making an appearance on television as the Weenomenal One. According to Fightful Select, AJ Styles wasn’t aware that the parody was actually coming, but apparently? He thought it was ‘great.’
Fightful would also note that there was no issues with IMPACT using Styles’ old theme song, as they still have the rights to it. There was also no apparent legal issue with using the likeness and gear of Styles on IMPACT.
It was also reported that the parody was a ‘hit’ in both the IMPACT and WWE locker rooms, although it wasn’t confirmed how far reaching nor how high up the pecking order this was.
Karl Anderson was also recently seen on IMPACT speaking to Kenny Omega, another former Bullet Club member. It was teased on the show that the ‘band’ may be getting back together in some form. It is worth noting with the AEW/IMPACT collaboration that several former BC members now have the potential of forming a new faction (Omega, Anderson, The Young Bucks, Gallows et al).
