It has been reported that WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan has run down his WWE contract and is no longer officially signed with the company. Fightful Select noted today that Bryan’s deal apparently ran out after the Roman Reigns match on Friday Night SmackDown.
Daniel Bryan of course lost against Reigns, meaning that he was ‘banished’ from WWE. Over the past few weeks Bryan has been alluding to potentially leaving WWE, even saying that the company should work with other promotions to give talent more opportunities to learn.
Interestingly, Bryan recently had an interview where he joked about people claiming his contract was up for renewal in September. ‘It’s funny that people gravitate towards the date ’˜September’’ Daniel Bryan said in the interview with TV Line. ‘I think it’s because that’s when my last contract ended.’

‘You get to that point where it’s like, ’˜how long can I do this full-time and still be able to do those kinds of things with my daughter?’ Bryan noted. ‘What’s the right balance between part-time and that sort of thing?’ It may be that it’s just every once in a while when the urge strikes, or maybe like a schedule where it’s like eight months on, these months off.’
It is not confirmed if Bryan will be leaving the company or if he is likely to re-sign.
