Conor McGregor is currently preparing for his UFC return later this month. The Notorious one confirmed that he is now ‘isolating’ ahead of the fight, ensuring that any risk of COVID-19 infection is as limited as possible. McGregor will be fighting at Lightweight against Dustin Poirier in a hotly anticipated rematch.
McGregor would post a video revealing that he is now isolating. During the video McGregor would also reveal that he is dedicating his training to a young boy who suffered from a dog attack 3 years ago. That young man, Cash, has now had reconstructive surgery, and McGregor said the following in his shout out to him.
Conor McGregor Takes Inspiration from Dog Attack
“I heard you had a match with a dog and you won!? So congratulations on that victory” Conor McGregor began. “I plan on securing my own victory January 23rd. I’m here now isolated getting my work in. I’m taking inspiration from your victory Cash, thank you so much and congratulations on the win.”
UFC President Dana White also recently confirmed that he’s trying to get McGregor back in the cage with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Speaking to the SHOUT! podcast, White would discuss the upcoming UFC 257 bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. ‘When I fly out there, Khabib’s gonna be there, too. So I’m gonna meet with Khabib while I’m there. In a perfect world, if Conor wins this fight, I would love to see the rematch with him and Khabib.’
