UFC Superstar Conor McGregor will be entering the octagon once again this weekend. The Lightweight fighter will be facing Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 257 in a hotly anticipated rematch.

Much has been made about the meeting between UFC President Dana White and UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov this week.

The UFC President met with Khabib in Abu Dhabi to discuss if the current UFC Lightweight Champion would retire or chase the 30-0 record. Khabib Nurmagomedov ’˜retired’ last year after defeating Justin Gaethje and retaining his Lightweight Championship at UFC 254. Dana White confirmed at UFC Fight Island 7 that Khabib will return to UFC’¦IF he sees ‘something spectacular.’

Conor McGregor on Stripping The Title

Conor McGregor was clearly not a fan of the comments. ‘I would make the case if that man is continuing to dodge this and dodge the commitment of competing again, the title should be stripped and we [Conor and Dustin] should be engaging in a title fight,’ McGregor stated. ‘But I’m sure it will happen after this bout.”

McGregor would finish by saying that Khabib should be stripped of the belt if he continues to ‘dodge’ the ‘responsibilities of champion.’ ‘I’m interested to hear what the excuse is or what will be said after the fight, but I predict a title strip.’
