Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate will be returning to the octagon in July. ESPN recently reported that Tate will be appearing to face Marion Reneau on July 17. The event does not currently have a title although it appears to be a Fight Night event.
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 is reportedly being booked for July 10th, which will be on PPV. That gives this historic return of Miesha Tate the chance to main event a Fight Night card the week after.
Miesha Tate appeared at the UFC 260 media scrum to talk about her return to the octagon later this year. ‘Time is very valuable, and I’m like, I just feel it in my heart, I want to do this,’ Tate said on Friday after the UFC 260 weigh-ins. ‘I’m in a great position in my life.”

‘I don’t have to do this. Nobody’s twisting my arm” Tate continued. “This is 100 percent because I’m in the best place I’ve ever been, and I want to do this.’
‘I literally had to hunt Dana down,’ Miesha Tate continued. ‘He blew off, like, my first five Instagram messages. It was actually starting to really piss me off. I was like Dana? Do I not have the right number?”
‘Finally I sat down with him and had that face-to-face conversation. He said, ’˜So, what are you doing here?’ I was like, ’˜I want to f*cking fight ’“ that’s what I’m doing here.’ And he’s like, ’˜All right,’ and he was kind of still like, ’˜You’re not hurting for money?’”
“I was like, ’˜No, I’m not. I’m actually making really good money right now with ONE Championship” Tate concluded. “This is because I want to do that. I want to come back to fight.”
