Nate Diaz Rips Into UFC Lightweight Division

UFC Lightweight fighter Nate Diaz recently took to Twitter to rip into the company’s Lightweight division. Arguably the biggest star in the sport Conor McGregor was knocked out on Saturday night at UFC 257, at the hands of Dustin Poirier.

Following the fight, Dustin Poirier said that he feels he should’ve been given the UFC Lightweight Championship. The reasoning for this being that Khabib Nurmagomedov is likely not returning to the promotion and a new Champion will need to be crowned.

Conor McGregor meanwhile took the loss at the weekend but stated that he wants the trilogy fight against Poirier. The TKO loss at UFC 257 means that McGregor and Poirier at 1-1 in matchups.

Nate Diaz did not take the concept of McGregor vs Poirier for the title well.

‘[Conor McGregor] and [Dustin Poirier] got choked on your face the other day by a guy (Khabib Nurmagomedov) that ran off and didn’t want none, especially with me,’ Diaz stated on Twitter. ‘How you gonna fight for a title? I been here 14 years and no one can do me like that ever in life.’

Diaz finished by writing “lol lightweight division.”
