Thomas Almeida came into the fight against Sean O’Malley as the clear underdog. Almeida was once considered a wunderkind in MMA, however losses on his resume have seen him fall down the pecking order.
Sean O’Malley was expected to roll over Almeida. During the first round, Sean O’Malley hit a crazy clean shin to the chin shot followed by a clean punch. Amazingly, Thomas Almeida was not knocked out cold by the shot.
Sean O’Malley Gets KO Win
O’Malley would however finish the fight in the third round. Arguably the fight should’ve been stopped before Suga Sean managed to get the killing blow at 3:52 into the third round.
