Violent clash of heads at UFC Fight Night London SHOCKS fans

Last updated

An absolutely violent clash of heads occurred during a bout at UFC Fight Night London tonight from the O2 Arena in England.

Makhmud Muradov faced Bryan Barberena during a Prelims fight, and the two Middleweight fighters seemed fairly evenly matched.

With just a minute left on the clock in the third round, both men went for a double-leg takedown, clashing their heads in the process.

UFC Fight Night London Head Clash

Referee Marc Goddard instantly stopped the fight when both men were at the cage holding their heads, with the man in the middle noticing just how violent the clash was.

It was clearly accidental, but it certainly looked like it hurt both men when they attempted to get back up to continue the bout.

Some of the reactions from fans have been incredible, and here are just some from Twitter:

  • One of the most beautiful clash of heads in UFC history! 🙏🤝 Maybe Dana White should think about that instead of Power Slap? 👀😆 #UFCLondon #UFC
  • Goddard really is the best ref in the UFC, great call for that head clash #UFCLondon
  • You call that piecing him? The best thing he hit was a head clash lmao
