Major Free Agent was ‘close’ to signing with WWE over AEW

Last updated

A major pro wrestling free agent was reportedly close to signing with WWE over AEW earlier this year around the time of the Royal Rumble.

According to a new report/rumour from Boozer Wrestling, it appears as though Nick Aldis was close to signing for the company in January 2023.

“He was close to be debuting at RR. Guess this time it will happen surely” the account claimed on Twitter this week ahead of SmackDown.

Nick Aldis Free Agent WWE and AEW

It’s worth noting that these rumours from Boozer Wrestling are just that, rumours, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.

Aldis was a major player for NWA before he left the company last year, and there have been a lot of rumours surrounding both he and his wife Mickie James.

James was recently confirmed to be appearing for Rev Pro in London over All In weekend, however, Aldis has not been confirmed for any London shows during that time.
